About The Course

INCEPTION

The Department of Mathematics was instituted in 1996 . The Course B.Sc. Mathematics is being offered since 2004.

OBJECTIVE

• The objective of the department is to provide strong mathematical foundation, analytical and computational skills and abstract understanding to the under graduate students which will enable them to handle any industrial and research problems
• To conduct conferences and workshops so as to provide forums for sharing knowledge and enrich students with such experiences.

DEPARTMENT LIBRARY

The Library maintains a collection of around 300 books for both UG and PG requirements.

CERTIFICATE COURSE

• The Department offers a 20-hours course on Math tricks for Aptitude for second year students.

SEMINAR / CONFERENCE

• The department organized an National conference on “Advances in Mathematical and Applied Sciences” on 27th September 2019, Dr.R.Ravanan, Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Chennai Region delivered a special address. Dr.S.R. Kannan, Professor, Department of Mathematics Ramanujan School of Mathematical Sciences Pondicherry Central University, Pondicherry delivered the inaugural address.
