INCEPTION
The Department of Computer Application was established in the year 1999.
OBJECTIVE
- The Department takes special effort to enrich the students by supplementing the syllabus with various department activities. It enables the students to develop skills so as to equip them to meet the challenges of the IT world at a global level.
- The Department is armed with well qualified, dedicated & professionally experienced faculty members to equip our students in major thrust areas like data mining, artificial intelligence, digital image processing and machine learning etc.

FACILITIES
- Two well equipped computer laboratories with sufficient number of systems with LAN facilities, internet connectivity and printer. Required softwares have been installed.
- The Department Library is well stocked with 185 books.
ACTIVITIES
The Department organizes several activities outside the classroom to motivate students and encourages them to hone their skills. It also believes in exposing them to lectures from a variety of resource persons.

CERTIFICATE COURSE
The Department offers a 20 hours course on Innovative Development in IT & Career development and interview Skills for second year students.
SEMINAR
The Departments of Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology organized a National Seminar on “Innovations in Information Science and Intelligent Systems” on 27th November 2019.
